This week...
It was great to meet with SENCOs from Manchester Secondary Schools this week as part of the Leading Inclusive Schools programme.
Thoughtful and reflective discussions took place as we considered the implications of the SEND Reform consultation.
It’s also been lovely to welcome Chantelle back to the EL Team following her Maternity leave. She’s already hit the ground running supporting the Trust recruitment for its Initial Teacher Training programme. Welcome back, Chantelle!

Our new starters on their Induction Day at the Learning Hub. Participating in tasks, getting to know each other, our schools and our staff.
We look forward to welcoming them and seeing them around our schools.
New Starters
We also had a thought provoking morning with the Heads and Central Teams exploring Equality and Diversity across New Bridge Trust.
Thank you to Rebeckah Hollingsworth for facilitating the session.

This week also saw an exciting afternoon supporting the next cohort of Advanced Skills Practitioners.
Thoughtful reflections and excitement at the prospect of future deployments.

Courses...
Signalong
Attendees on our second cohort on the Foundation Signalong course have been working hard developing their skills. Signalong is a key-word signing system based on British Sign Language with a library of 9000 signs offering a wide range of vocabulary and a great way to support our young people with communication.
Moving & Handling
In order to support our less mobile young people, staff have attended a practical moving and handling course, to develop their skills in safely moving people in a range of different ways. This is especially important to ensure their upcoming residential trip to Disneyland Paris is a great success and enjoyable for all.
