As we move towards the half term break, it's always good to reflect upon the achievements of colleagues.

Waj, our Business Apprentice was presented with 'An inspirational young person' award last Friday at the annual POINT Conference.

This is testament to his commitment and passion for the voice of young people to be heard. Congratulations from us all, Waj.

Aspiring Leaders began their  school enquiry into  their 'wicked question' this week, supported by key facilitators.

Some initial feedback to share...

"I think it was a well organised day and although I thought the questions were definitely ‘wicked ‘- they were able to tease out the detail to the enquiry and also  highlight the gaps between policy and practice .Thank you to all interviewees."
"Lots of strategic thinking going on."

The Heads of Site participated in the termly development morning facilitated by Janice Allen. It was an opportunity to explore diversity, equity inclusion and belonging.

This week we welcomed Governors and Trustees to our Summer Governor Conference hosted at Samuel Laycock School. Martin Hanbury shared details of the external review of the MAT which led to some excellent discussions. Governors and Trustees were offered a number of break-out sessions which gave a great opportunity for conversations around the role of governance and action planning for Local Governing Boards.

Thank you to all who attended and a shout out to the Samuel Laycock team for their support on the day.
