This week saw the third session of the Advanced Skills Practitioner Facilitation Course.

ASP

Part of the session saw us designing what we believe are the skills and behaviours of a facilitator.

Here are some of the participants takeaways from the course:
"Difference between facilitation and training. Importance of getting ready for training and planning. Tips and tricks to facilitate."
"I feel I've been given plenty or tips and tricks to support me in facilitating. I have better understanding of adult learning and why this will impact facilitating."
"Differences between training and facilitation. The difference between adult learning and child learning. Key skills and behaviours of a facilitator and how to embed this into my practice. Importance of communication styles. Facilitating setups."
"I've realised speaking in front of a group is not as difficult as I first thought."
And here are a few pieces of feedback:
"Really good session. Particularly enjoyed getting to have a go at facilitation without the pressure. Good handouts and theory behind what was taught."
"Fabulous session - cheeky not telling us that we would practice!"
"Fantastically facilitated by Liz and Carrie. Leading by example and not just telling us."
"I have a lot of new skills that can be added to my toolkit, really enjoyed it."
"Well organised and lovely trainers."
